Lugar: Muscle Shoals, Alabama, U.S.A. and Tampa/Orlando,

Objective:
The training program is designed to provide basic knowledge
and orient engineers new to fertilizer production to raw
materials, intermediates, products, production processes, and
quality control. Participants will become familiar with fertilizer
production processes and fertilizer production and increase their
knowledge and skills in the operation, maintenance, and
engineering of various fertilizer plants. The training program and
study tour will expose participants to fertilizer trends,
agronomic fundamentals, and both the nitrogen and phosphate
industries. The program will provide an opportunity for
participants from many countries and backgrounds to exchange
information, ideas, and experiences.
Who Should Participate?
The training program and study tour are designed for engineers
new to fertilizer production. The program will also be valuable
for organizations that are developing new production facilities.
The program fee for the 10-day training workshop is $2,000 and
will include 4 days of classroom presentations at IFDC
Headquarters in Muscle Shoals, Alabama; 1 day of visits to local
fertilizer plants; a travel day to Florida; a rest day in Orlando,
Florida; 2 days of visits to fertilizer complexes in the Tampa,
Florida area; and 1 day of presentations by equipment and
technology suppliers.
Sunday, July 20 will be a free day, and participants will have the
opportunity to visit Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios,
or other tourist attractions in the Orlando area. The training
program and study tour will end in Tampa on Wednesday afternoon,
July 23.
